What this website collects, why, how long it keeps it, and how to make it stop. Short, because the site does not do very much.
Who runs this
This site is run by Mission Bay School PTA, a volunteer-led local unit of California State PTA and National PTA serving the Mission Bay School community. It is not run by Mission Bay School and not by San Francisco Unified School District. Neither has approved it. The PTA is legally separate from both, and nothing sent here reaches the school unless an authorized PTA volunteer forwards it by hand.

What is collected
The contact form
Your name, email address, chosen topic and message. Stored in our database and emailed to a volunteer so they can reply.
Deleted after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
The updates sign-up
Your email address only. It is emailed to the volunteer who runs the list, and you get an acknowledgement back. Nothing else is asked for and nothing is inferred about you.
Kept until you ask to come off, then deleted. Replying to any email is enough.
Traffic measurement
Vercel Analytics counts page views. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you across sites.
Aggregate counts only. Nothing that identifies you.
The map on the Contact page
An embedded Google Map. Loading it sends your IP address to Google and Google may set its own cookies. That part is Google's, governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
Not stored by us.
What this site will not take
Please do not send anything about a specific child through this site: no student names, no medical or behavioural details, no safeguarding reports. There is no form topic for it and volunteers cannot act on it. Those go to the school office or to SFUSD. See Contact for the right numbers.
If something like that arrives anyway, it is deleted once a volunteer has pointed the sender at the school.
Photographs
The photographs on this site were taken by families at public events, or are pictures of the building with nobody in them. There are deliberately no close-up photographs of children.
SFUSD's consent form covers the district's own use of a student's image. It does not cover this site. If you or your child appear in a photograph here and you would rather not, write to hello@missionbaypta.org and it comes down. No reason needed, no discussion, and it will be gone within a few days.
Your choices
- Ask what is held about you, and get a copy.
- Ask for it to be deleted. This will be done unless there is a live conversation in progress, and then as soon as it ends.
- Ask for a photograph to be removed.
- Unsubscribe from updates, using the link in any email or by writing to us.
One email address does all of it: hello@missionbaypta.org. Nothing here is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, because there is nothing to sell it to.
Who processes what
The site runs on Vercel. Form submissions are stored in Supabase. Notification and confirmation emails are sent through Resend. The Contact page embeds a map from Google. Each of those companies handles the data described above under its own terms, and none of them is given anything beyond what is listed here.
