What this site is, what it is not, where its facts come from, and how to get something taken down or put right.
What this is
Mission Bay School PTA is a volunteer-led local unit of California State PTA and National PTA serving the Mission Bay School community. This site is theirs. It is not the website of Mission Bay School, it is not run by San Francisco Unified School District, and neither the school nor the district has reviewed or approved anything on it. The school name and the pictures of the building are used to describe the school this site is about, not to suggest either organisation stands behind it.
If the school or the district asks for any of it to change or come down, it changes or comes down.
How facts get on here
- Operational detail (bell times, drop-off, meals, forms) comes from emails the school sent to enrolled families, and every page carrying it shows the date it was last checked. That date is currently August 10, 2026.
- Facts about the opening, the building and the neighbourhood are sourced to SFUSD's own publications or to published reporting, with a link next to each one.
- Calendar events are only published when they can be traced to the school, the district, or published reporting. Anything unsourced is not listed, even if somebody heard it.
- Staff names appear only after the school has announced them. Names of volunteers and parents are not published without asking first.
Even so, some of this will be wrong or out of date. The school's own emails and ParentVUE are the final word on anything about your child, always. Do not act on a time, a date, or a rule you read here without checking it if it matters.
Getting something corrected
Write to hello@missionbaypta.org or use the form on Contact. Corrections to anything operational are made the same day they are confirmed. Requests to remove a photograph are honoured without asking why. Anyone named on this site can have their name removed on request.
Using what is here
Text and photographs on this site may be reused by Mission Bay families for community purposes. The logo files on the Brand page come with their own conditions. Photographs credited to SFUSD or to a news outlet are linked rather than hosted, and belong to whoever made them.
There is no charge for anything here and no guarantee that it is right. Nothing on this site is legal, medical or financial advice.
