2027-28 Admissions

Applying to Mission Bay School

Mission Bay School is a public SFUSD school, and admission runs through the district rather than through the school. This page is for families applying for the 2027-28 school year. Families already enrolled for 2026-27 want First Day and Daily Information instead.

For the 2026-27 school year, Mission Bay School opens with Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten (plus a combined TK-K Special Education class), growing a grade each year to a full TK-5 school by 2032.

Two Ways to Apply

TK & Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten families apply through the SFUSD Enrollment Center. Mission Bay shares an attendance area with Daniel Webster Elementary, so families in that area (Embarcadero, SoMa, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, and Mission Bay) get an attendance-area tiebreaker to both schools.

Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-K families apply separately through SFUSD Early Education, on its own timeline and priorities.
